Our meeting started off with the installation of our newly-minted exco for the upcoming term of 2018-2019.

Then the meeting moved on with the President Welcoming Address by our President, Jeff, on the topic of the dawn of a new government and era. Our bubbly Toastmaster of the Evening, Kui Min, took control and conducted the meeting. The first session of the meeting started off with the Table Topics® Session conducted by Kah Mun. Our speakers, Si Bao, Guest Seki, Ridhwan, and Sam Win took up the challenge to answer the topics given!

After the break, the meeting proceeded with Prepared Speeches. The speakers were:

  1. Chin, TM, Pathways #1 – Ice Breaker, Title: Happy Mother’s Day
  2. Jeff Ng, CC, CL, Pathways Dynamic Leadership #2- Understanding Leadership Style Title: Hope
  3. Darryn, CC,CL, Advanced Communication Manual- Humorous Speaking #4, Title: Competent Communicators

The meeting continued with the Evaluation Session by Kit, TM, from Speecom Toastmasters Club. The session comprised of the following role players:

  4. Kah Mun, CC CL, for Darryn

After the Evaluation Session, the following winners were announced:

  • Best Table Topics® Speaker: Seki Ng
  • Best Prepared Speech Speaker: Darryn

Unknown to our president, the exco surprised him with the esteemed ‘Outstanding Member’ award for his dedication and sacrifice to the club. By the way, great toast by Sam too!

Right after the meeting, a flabbergasted Jeff gave a touching closing speech and passed control to the Immediate-past-president Kah Mun to conduct UMTMC’s annual general meeting (AGM).

Right after the meeting, Kah Mun, CC CL, lead our Club’s General Election as one of the club’s business meeting to elect the executive committee for next term, 2018/2019. Kah Mun was assisted by our Immediate Past President, Tineesha, CL and Sam Win, CC CL.

The results of the club election are as follow:

  • Vice President Education-elect: Muhammad Abdurrahman
  • Vice President Membership-elect: Tan Sin Hong

Our meeting starts off with our President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC CL and our Vice President Education Li Er as the Toastmaster of the Evening. The first session of the meeting started off with the Table Topics® Session conducted by Darryn, CC CL. Our meeting starts off with our President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC CL and Abdurrahman as the Toastmaster of the Evening. Our club alumni and previous IPP, Jing Yi, DTM shared her Toastmasters experience as a member and during her tenure as the club president.

Moving on, Kah Mun attempted leads the forum entitled “My Toastmasters Experience” as the moderator of the meeting. The panel of speakers were:

  1. Vincent Hor, DTM, former Division W Governor from MAICSA Toastmasters Club 
  2. Seki Ng, ACG ALB, current Area W3 Director from Sunway and DTM Toastmasters Club
  3. John Ng, ACB ALB, Immediate Past President and former Vice President Education from HELP Toastmasters Club

During the break, the cutting-cake ceremony were performed by the current and past presidents of UMTMC. The meeting went on with the Table Topics® Session conducted by Sam Win, CC CL, while entertain us with interesting topics. Our speakers, Syafinas, Kiam Chin, Fatima, Vanessa, Jo Ping, Rahman and Ridhwan took up the challenge to answer the questions given!

Our meeting starts off with by our President’s opening speech Kah Mun, CC CL. Our Division W ISTT 3rd Place Winner, also our Sergeant-At-Arms Darryn, CC CL, took control as Toastmaster of the Evening.

The meeting went on with the Table Topics® session conducted by Kui Min, focusing on the meeting’s theme of the day, “Get Ready to be Fooled”. Our speakers, Zhou, Ridhwan, Si Bao and Hean Ghee took up the courage to take the challenge!

Our meeting starts off with by our President’s opening speech Kah Mun, CC CL. Jeff Ng, CC, our Toastmaster of the Evening took control of the meeting for that evening.

The meeting went on with the Table Topics session conducted by Abdurrahman, VC1 with a slight of twist dark in it. Five speakers took up the challenge to on the in-prompt questions. Dr. Devi, DTM, gave her feedback right after the Table Topics Session!

After a short break, we proceed to the Prepared Speech session, with the following lineups:

The meeting continued with the Evaluation Session, led Jeremy Teo, ACS ALB, Area P1 Director from TMIKL! The session started of with prepared speech evaluations, technical role players’ report, and the report on overall meeting conduct.

Our President, Kah Mun gave his closing address by sharing his take home message before adjourned the meeting.

Hey peeps, March’s here and this was our meeting summary last Monday!

Our meeting starts off with by our President’s opening speech Kah Mun, CC CL. Sam Win, CC CL, our Toastmaster of the Evening, took control of the meeting and attempted the challenge given to him by the Exco Team at the same time!

The meeting went on with the Table Topics session conducted by May Ong, CC ALB from OUM! With interesting, in-promptu questions, five speakers volunteered to take up the challenge.
