Here’s what happened during our meeting on 4th December!

As usual, our meeting starts off with President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC. Joan, from UTAR Toastmasters Club took control of the meeting as the Toastmaster of the Evening! The meeting went on with the contest-style Table Topics session by five speakers to prepare them for the International Speech and Table Topics Contest on the following Monday! The winner was announced as Kumanan, CC CL, right after the refreshments.

Then, we proceed to our next session: Prepared Speech Session, with speech lineups for were as follows:

  1. Jeff, CC – Pathways Dynamic Leadership #2: Evaluation and Feedback Speech 1 – What If [Insert Game/Anime Here] Toastmasters Club Exists?
  2. Hon Choon – CC #10: Inspire the Audience – What Do You Need For Employment – A Personal Perspective
  3. Sara, ACS ALB – Advance Manual: Special Occasion Speech #3: The Roast – Blessing In Disguise
  4. Kah Mun, CC – Advance Manual: Special Occasion Speech #3: The Roast – The B-Boy Dancer

The meeting continued with the Evaluation Session, led by Jing Yi, DTM, our very own University of Malaya alumni, former UMTMC member and also a member of Pesona Toastmasters Club! The evaluation started off with the Table Topics evaluation, prepared speech evaluations, technical role players’ report, and the report on the overall meeting conduct.

Our meeting agenda started off differently this time, starting off with Prepared Speech Session, followed by the Table Topics session and Successful Club Series.

This week, the meeting starts off with President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC, congratulating Kar Mei, CC, for getting 2nd place for the recent Division W Humorous Speech Contest last Saturday. The session went on with Toastmaster of the Evening, Sam, CC, conducting an interesting Round Robin, featuring “Jeff” as main character of a fictional, mind-bogging story.

Our first session blast off with Prepared Speech Marathon. Our speech lineups were as follows:

Here’s the review of the previous meeting, 9th October! The meeting starts off with President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC. The session went on with the energetic Toastmaster of the Evening, Kar Mei, CC, taking charge of the meeting!

Our first session of the meeting began with the contest-styled Table Topics session, led by Kah Mun. Five brave individuals came out on stage and tackle the questions given by him.

After the refreshments, we proceed to the Prepared Speech session. Our speech lineups were as follow:

  1. Abdul Rahman – Pathways Visionary Communication #1: Ice Breaker – The Trash Connoisseur
  2. Ahmad Ridhwan – Pathways Team Collaboration #1: Ice Breaker – Comfort Zone, The Silent Killer
  3. Hean Ghee – Pathways Innovative Planning #1: Evaluation and Feedback #1 – What Would You Do?
  4. Rashid – CC #6: Vocal Variety – Murder of Jean Perrara

Next, we had the Evaluation session, led by the President of Deloitte Toastmasters Club, Chip, CC CL! The evaluation session was fruitful as we received feedbacks from evaluators and technical role players.

Our president Kah Mun gave tokens of appreciation to three new Toastmasters members: Hean Ghee, Ahmad Ridhwan and Abdul Rahman for attempting their Ice Breaker speech. Finally, Kah Mun gave the closing address by thanking everyone who gave their support to us and gave us a take-home message before he adjourned the meeting.

Hey Toastmasters and guests!

Here’s the summary of the previous meeting! On 2nd October, the meeting starts off with our President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC, reminiscing about our past.

Shawn, CC, took up the role as the Toastmaster of the Evening for the meeting. A job well done by conducting and ensuring the meeting went on smoothly. All the role players were introduced as well.

Our first session of the meeting began with the Table Topics session. The session was once again led by Jeck Kie, with questions tied back into our theme of the meeting. Four brave individuals came out on stage and tackle the questions given by him.

After the refreshments, we proceed to the next session: Prepared Speeches. Our speech lineup were unique as the speakers attempting different manuals and different educational systems. Our lineups were as follow:

  1. Hean Ghee – Pathways Innovative Planning #1: Ice Breaker – Do It or Never
  2. Li Er – CC #5: Your Body Speaks – Effective Communication
  3. Hon Choon – CC #8: Get Comfortable with Visual Aids – Coloured Brain Communcation

Another round of the Toastmasters New Member Induction was carried out by our President, Kah Mun. Inducted new members are Toastmasters Ahmad Ridhwan, Rahman, Sin Hong and Yun Hui!

Last Monday, on 25th September, the meeting starts off with our President’s opening speech by Kah Mun, CC, thanking all guests who came to our meeting.

Toastmaster of the Evening, Sam, CC, had his job well done by entertaining us while the sharing the history of Toastmasters International. The introduction of the role players of the day were carried out as well.

Then, our first session of the meeting began with the Table Topics session. The session was led by Jeck Kie, causing the audience to think while having fun and enjoyment during the session. Five brave individuals came out on stage and tackle the questions given by him.

After the refreshments, we proceed to our second session of the meeting: Prepared Speeches. Our speech lineup were different as we speakers attempting different manuals and different educational systems. Our lineup were as follow:

New Member Induction

Toastmasters Si Bao and Hean Ghee are inducted into our club led by our VPM Kyle. Hooray!

This meeting was a unique one as our new members, Si Bao and Heng Gee were inducted into our UMTMC family. The Toastmasters New Member Induction was carried out smoothly by our current Vice President Membership, Kyle, ACB, CL.

Last but not least, the winners were then announced:
